Meet Pomona

Pomona Valero

Pomona is founder and primary trainer at Lodestone Instruction, a blend of teaching, coaching, training, mentoring methods to help individuals, professionals, and entreprenuers use technologies, and project management methods to work smarter, professionally develop, and grow as an individual.

Since 1989, Pomona has started up small businesses and helped numerous small business start-up in addition to co-managing since 2006, a long-running family business. Pomona is now a Principal Technology Consultant for PITM Consulting, General Partner for EAV Properties, in addition to Founding Lodestone Instruction.

Pomona has a Masters of Science in Information Technology, Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also certified in ITIL v3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist in the AV Industry), and a Project Management Professional (PMP Certified by Project Management Institute).

In addition, Pomona is the District Technical Officer for Western Pennsylvania SCORE Chapters, a volunteer organization whose mission is to help small business. She is also on the AVIXA Steering Standards Committee, an international nonprofit supporting the manufacturers, vendors, and professionals in the AV industry. And for fun, she is an occassional assistant coach for girls basketball, occassional assistant instructor for mixed martial arts, a youth soccer team co-manager, and an avid gardener. She lives in SW Pennsylvania with her husband and teenage daughter.
